SCRAP N' STAMP~ November Blog Hop and MOvember Challenge

Happy Friday crafty friends! Today, we have a fun little blog hop for
Be sure to comment on all the stops on the hop to be eligible for one of three Impression Obsession Retro Masculine Die sets!!! PLUS Scrap N' Stamp will also be donating 10% of net sales today (Hop Day) to the Movember foundation- so be sure to check out the main Blog Hop Post for more information on this great cause!

AND there's a new challenge starting over at the SCRAP N' STAMP FB Group- the theme is to create a MOvember card which features mustaches or a masculine theme! The prize for the challenge this month is a $50 Gift Card for the SCRAP N' STAMP STORE!! Woot Woot!

So here's the card I made using the Impression Obsession Retro Masculine Die  and the Tim Holtz Hipster Cat.

For my background I die cut all the mustaches in the Impression Obsession Retro Masculine Die  set from Kraft and black cardstock that had Stick It on the back. I found it easier to keep them all together, the way they came in the package, to run them thru my Big Shot, instead of handling the smaller dies. I ran them thru about 5 times each. With the Stick it, this allowed me to adhere them to my card panel easily, as I just had to remove the backing paper.

I then stamped the Hipster Cat onto White Cardstock with Memento Black Ink and colored him with Copics. I then fussy cut him out as I do not have the coordinating die. I die cut two circles using my Stax Cirles from Black and Kraft cardstock and then stamped the Hipster Cat onto the Kraft circle to get all the details I may have lost when I fussy cut him out. I then adhered my Hipster Cat onto my circle piece. I stacked 3 of the mustaches I had die cut from black cardstock together to get some definition- this was quite easy as the pieces still had the Stick It on the back. I then used one of the hats in the die set to give him a sharp hat to go with his retro hipster look. lol. I added  some white gelly roll highlights and added some Nuvo Crystal Glaze to his glasses. A Small Talk Sentiment finished off my cat. I then adhered the circles to my card with foam tape.

For the inside, I kept with the same relative design that I used on the cardfront but used a Tim Holtz Random Thoughts sentiment and another stach and glasses from the die set. ;o)

I hope I've inspired you to get crafty and play along with our MOvember -stache and/or masculine challenge this month- don't forget there is a $50 gift certificate up for grabs for one Randomly chosen participant in the challenge!

Also, be sure to hop along ALL the blop stops and COMMENT to be eligible to win one of the 3 Impression Obsession Retro Masculine Die sets!

You are now off to Nancy's Blog to see how she used this fun little die set!

Jazz It Up!

Happy Wednesday crafty friends! Today I have a lil' card for you using the Gesso Resist Technique and the Jazz It Up image from Visible Image.

I started by scraping some Gesso onto Strathmore Mixed Media Paper. I then applied Carved Pumpkin and Candied Apple Distress Inks. As you can see the Gesso acts as a resist and adds a layer of texture to your background without the "bulk" of texture pastes. I then stamped the Jazz Player onto my piece with Jet Black Archival Ink using my MISTI, and once dry I went over it with my Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle pen. I added the sentiment in Red StazOn ink. Some washi tape added some more texture, which I went around with my Black Soot Distress Crayon for some shading, and also along the edges of the entire piece. Finally,  some black Nuvo drops finished it up. I mounted my piece onto black cardstock (4.24'x5.5') and Voila! You have a fun Masculine Card...which I always struggle with. ;o)

Thank you for stoppin' by and I hope I inspired you to get crafty today!

Two Paper Divas~ Travel

Good Morning everyone, I'm back to share with you a lil' card I made for

http://www.twopaperdivas.com/

using the newly release Worn Ticket and Celebrate Life along with Doodle Alphabet from last month's new release.

I used DP from Recollections and distressed and inked the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I stamped the Worn Ticket with Tea Dye Distress Ink and the sentiments from Celebrate Life in Vintage Photo. I then inked the edges with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and fussy cut them out. I added some twine and a TH Globe Die Cut. The Doodle Alphabet in Vintage Photo finished off my "Travel" theme. :o)

Here's a close up of my tickets:

Of course I had to do the inside to match:

I had a lot of fun with this card and hope I've inspired you to EXPLORE and get crafty today! ;o)

Two Paper Divas~ Father's Day Card

Good Morning Crafty Friends,
I'm back to share with you a lil' make I made for

http://www.twopaperdivas.com/shop/

With it being Father's Day today, I made my Pop's a card using
TruckPick Up Lines and hearts from I Chews You

He used to own a blue '52 International Truck when I was younger, so thought this would be perfect for him. :o)

I used the White Washing Technique on Kraft again, as I like the watercolored effect it lends to images. I embossed the images with White EP onto the Kraft cardstock then did a white washing with White Craft Ink. Once dry, I colored it with a waterbrush and Tombow Markers. I finished with some buttons and twine to keep it masculine.

There we have it...a pretty fun, sentimental Father's Day Card. :o)

I sure hope I've inspired you to get crafty!

Don't forget to join our Challenge that is still going on! It's a fun one!
Join me next Friday to see another make using June's AMAZING New Releases!:o)

Two Paper Divas~ Happy Trails to you...

Happy Friday Crafty Friends, I'm back to share with you an lil' make I made for
http://www.twopaperdivas.com/shop/

using the newly released Howdy. I love this set for masculine cards and the DT gals have made some ADORABLE makes using it for Girly cards too, so be sure to check out the blog here to see them all!

I used DP from Recollections and paper-pieced the Cowboy boots and fussy cut them out. Added a little White Gelly roll pen for some added "pop"...that's man code for "Bling". hehehe. I adhered it to a circle die cut that I used Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed Distress Inks on so they boots would stand out. For the Cowboy hat, I stamped the image with Walnut Stain Distress Ink onto watercolor paper I applied Vintage Photo Distress Ink onto and spritzed with water to get a weathered and worn look. I watercolored the band of the hat with some more Walnut Stain. I love Two Paper Diva stamps because you can bend and manipulate the stamps to curve like I did to apply the sentiment onto the circle. ;o)

Some twine, enamel dots and a Bingo Card from my stash finished off the card to keep to the masculine feel of the card.

and here's the inside of my card using the same design as the front:

Because I was having so much fun with this set and already had my Distress Inks, I made another card to share with you...I know, I know...awesome right? LOL

Using Vintage Photo, Tea Dye, Squeezed Lemonade and Walnut Stain Distress Inks on Watercolor paper with the Ranger Mini Blending Tool, I created the base of my card and added some water droplets for added texture. Then I used an old Stampin' Up spot Stamp in Walnut Stain to create some added texture to my base. Stamped the cool "Howdy" sentiment and cowboy boots onto my card as I think it makes another fun Masculine card that could be used for any occasion.

and here's the inside using the Cowboy Hat and another fun sentiment from the set:

Please stop by next Friday for another fun Make using this month's New releases...it's "DREAMY" ;o)
