Crafter's Companion~ Adding Vinyl details with your dies

Happy Friday everyone, today I have a quick post for you on how to use your
dies with Vinyl for a quick and pretty gift.

I used dies from the Enchanted  Forest Collection, like this little fairy from the SHINE BRIGHT set. I die cut it from Heat Transfer Vinyl with my Gemini Jr. Once I had all the pieces cut and I set out my design, I adhered the pieces to this canvas tote bag with a household iron (set to low-med) and parchment paper.

And voila! A quick but pretty little gift idea!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Spread Your Wings Tag

Happy Friday Crafty Friends! Today I have a lil' Tag
I made using my new Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor set.
My fabulous bestie, Sharon, sent them to me so I had a play and I LOVE THEM!!!
Thank you SHARON!! xx

Ok here is my little scene I created by watercoloring the background. Not bad for my first go, I'll have to keep playing with them to get the hang of them, but really like how well they blend and keep their color. :o)
I then stamped some fairies that Sharon also got me in Black Archival Ink...isn't she AMAZING???? Be sure to check out her blog and leave her some luv!! I also stamped some Impression Obsession  and Penny Black Flowers to create some foilage in the background using StazOn Midi's in Gothic Purple Blue Hawaii and Cloudy Sky. I then colored the fairy wings with Spectrum Noir  Sparkle Pens in Aquamarine and Cosmos. Love these too!! I inked around the edge with Black Soot Distress Ink and added some black and white paint splatters . I then stamped the sentiment from the Prima Finnabair "Don't Forget to Fly" set and finished with Hug Snug Black Seam Binding

Thanks for stoppin' by today and I hope to see you again soon. :o)

Julia Spiri~ Gnome Canvas

Happy Thursday Crafty Friends!
I'm so excited to be able to share with you my make for the new challenge for
http://juliaspirichallengeblog.blogspot.ca/

There will be a new challenge every second Thursday and it is an Anything Goes Challenge with a twist! Please check the rules here.

Now, onto our first challenge and the twist is:

USE SOMETHING NEW

So that could be a new die, technique, Embossing Folder Etc!

Here's a Mixed Media 8x10 Canvas I made using Little Gnome. As soon as I saw this image, I knew I had to make a magical little forest for her.

I used a lot of NEW and different mediums on the canvas- torn vintage papers, acrylic paints, Dylusions Mists, stencils and texture paste.

I colored this little cutie with SN Markers and glued her onto chipboard and fussycut her out:

Isn't she sweet???

I made the tree by using cheese cloth and gel medium. After drying, I painted it with brown acrylic paint and glue on the tiny punched leaves...let me tell you I had a blister on my thumb from punching out so many. lol. I finished the tree with little Berries I had, as I thought they looked like "Magic" apples. lol Added a little metal birdcage charm

I stamped Sunny & Bright from So Suzy Stamps onto a wooden tag I gesso'd and inked with Frayed Burlap Distress ink. The little butterfly finished the tree.:o)

Next, I glued 4 "Leafy Border" Die cuts from MB to look like a meadow and used little Wooden Picket fences (gesso'd and Inked). Finished with some clay leaves I made and painted green.
And what's a magic forest without some Magic Mushrooms?? lol.I die cut these Lifestyle Crafts dies and then embossed them in Clear and Transparent (Sparkle) Embossing Powders.

I finished by layering Dragonfly and Fancy Butterfly
from So Suzy Stamps which were stamped with Stazon Midi's in Blue Hawaii and Cactus Green

I hope I've inspired you to join in our New Challenge and I look forward to seeing your beautiful makes.

Fae Believe...

Good Morning Crafty Friends, I'm here to share a card I made for
http://faeryink.com/

I got to work with "Fae "Believe" Sign" for my Inspiration post today and I just think this stamp is too cute for words! It comes with the "Believe" sentiment in the sign and also a blank version. Here's my lil' Shake, Shake, Shaker card using the Blank version.
Fae "Believe" Sign, is from this month's new releases! I just love this little whimsical Fae and had a lot of fun with the Shaker element.
I used DP from MME and CS from Recollections, and I love the whimsical feel of the card with the soft color palette and DP's.

I colored the image with SN Markers and added some white Gellyroll marker for highlights. Finished with some Wink of Stella on her wings. Added a "Thinking of You" Sentiment from So Suzy Stamps

To create the Shaker element, I used my Circle Dies from Lifestyle Crafts  and cut out the DP where I wanted the shaker to be. Cut a piece of acetate to glue from behind. Added some foam tape and sequins Mixture and adhered to my base card. Added a die cut bow from Crate Paper - Maggie Holmes Collection - Styleboard - Die Set and some white Enamel dots from MME.

Here's the inside of my card with the same design and a sentiment from Hero Arts- Year Round Sentiments :

I hope you've enjoyed my card today and I've inspired you to get crafty!

So hurry- quick, go and grab her while you can as she's only available for
24 hours!

Now, without further ado...
I've been on a "coloring on kraft" kick lately, but I just can't help it! I just love how the Prismacolor Pencils just "POP"!

I couldn't decide on DP's so I went with inking up Heidi Swapp- 6x6 Triangle set stencils in Broken China Distress Ink and Angel Pink Memento Dew Drop Ink to create a soft background. Added a So Suzy Stamps Warm Sunshine Sentiment
and some pretty Butterflies.

I colored the image with Prismacolor Pencils  onto American Crafts Kraft Smooth CS. Used my Lifestyle Crafts Nesting Circles to diecut the image.

Here's the inside of my card using the same design as the front:

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with your family and Friends. I wish you all the very best in 2015 as well!

Ok, so I'm here to share a card I made for the Faery Ink Design Team Call. I just adore Amanda's creations, they are so sweet and versatile!

So wish me luck!
I used Jasmine Butterfly Catcher, she's a FREEBIE on the Faery Ink Blog . You should also check out the Faery Ink shop for all the adorable
Faery Ink design images...something for everyone and every occasion. :o)

Now, here's why I would like to be a DT member for Faery Ink Designs. I love the assortment of adorable images that Amanda has created. It's always fun to create with images that are so versatile. You can see how much Amanda enjoys drawing and creating as is evident in her designs. :o)

Now, on to the hard part...talking about one's self...what does one really say? hehehehe. Well I have a quirky sense of humor, enjoy crafting, watching Youtube videos for new techniques and ideas, I'm a team player and enjoy crafting with people who love it as much as I do. I have participated in the Faery Ink FB Challenges. I don't know that I have a "Style" persay...as I tend to go where the image or Challenge theme "takes me". I enjoy coloring and am practicing all the time to get better. ;o) And I love trying new techniques.

Hmmm, oh right, I've been on other Design Teams and know what the position entails. I love commenting on submissions as it's always fun to see everyone's take on themes and challenges. Plus, you can always learn something new from everyone.
I'm currently a team leader for Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenges, and am delighted to be on the following design teams: Creative Knockouts (2 cards/month), Sparkles Monthly Challenges (1/month), Emerald Faeries Challenges (1/month), My Whimsical Little World (2/month)  Meljen's Designs (2/month) and Inspiration Destination Challenges (1-2/month). I'm always on time with my creations, love working with different images and artists and take pride in my creations. :o)
