TAGplorations~ Bloomtangled!

We're baaaaaaack! That's right STAMPlorations is back with it's Monthly Challenges! And what better way to start than with ...

Today, I'm using the BEAUTIFUL Bloomtangled #1 Coverplate along with a small Tags #1 with a butterfly and sentiment from the Trendy Butterflies 2 stamp set!

I went CAS here as I didn't want the Bloomtangled background to compete with my Butterfly. I cut out the coverplate from White CS and adhered to a black card base. 

I then Stamped the medium butterfly from the Trendy Butterflies 2 set onto a piece of paper I watercolored with Dr. Ph. Martin's Bombay India Ink in Bright Red. Once dry, I  fussy cut it out and adhered to my tag.  

I then stamped the sentiment from the Trendy Butterflies 2 set onto the second smallest Tags #1 set in Black Onyx Versafine Ink. A little gem from my stash finished it off. :o)

STAMPlorations~June Mixed Media Challenge

Happy Sunday everyone, it's that time again for a new challenge over at

The theme is always anything mixed media goes, except a card! Just remember you must use at least one stencil (any brand) in your project. You have until the end of the month to play!   

 This month I used some fun new products from STAMPlorations. :o)

 I started by playing with some Distress Oxides in Wilted Violet and Peeled Paint and the new Curve Play ARTplorations Stencil to create my background. 

I then stamped the 3 different sized butterflies from the Trendy Butterflies 2 set onto text paper and colored the 2 smallest with the same Distress Oxide Inks used in the background and fussy cut them out. I layered them onto the tag for added dimension and stamped the sentiments from Happy Happy Birthday and Gorgeous Bold Sentiment sets in Jet Black Archival Ink. A little doodled border finished it off.

Here's my make using Trendy Butterflies 2

I started with a piece of watercolor paper and added a layer of water to the paper for my base, then I added Magenta, Blue and a bit of Yellow, Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolors to the wet paper. I then stamped small butterflies from the set onto Vellum in Gray StazOn ink and fussy cut out.

 I stamped the larger butterflie onto watercolor paper I painted with the yellow watercolor and fussy cut out. I added a sentiment and key to the large butterfly and some washi tape finished it off.

STAMPlorations~ Never Hide your Wings

Happy Sunday everyone! I'm sharing a tag I made for STAMPlorations Sunday Stencil #89. The designers have created some fabulous mixed media projects to inspire you. You can find them  here so be sure to check them out and leave them some luv! :o) 

Today I used ARTplorations Square City Stencil with STAMPlorations Trendy Butterflies 2 and Art Marks for this fun lil' tag.  

 

 I started with blending Distress Inks (Blue Lagoon, Mustard Seed and Worn Lipstick) onto my tag with a blending tool. I then Stamped the "Film Strip" from the ART MARKS set with Jet Black Archival Ink- creating blocks on my tag. I masked the "film strips" off  and Inked Candied Apple Distress Ink thru the Square City Stencil. I highlighted the "film strips" with a white Posca Pen and some of the squares with a fine Black Pitt Pen.

 I then stamped the butterflies from the Trendy Butterflies 2 Set in Jet Black Archival Ink onto spots I inked with the same Distress Inks from my tag (Blue Lagoon, Mustard Seed, Worn Lipstick and Candied Apple) and then fussy cut them out. I adhered only the bodies of the Butterflies to the tag for added dimension.  I stamped a sentiment from the same set and my lil' tag is finished. :o)

Two Paper Divas~ Enjoy the Little Things

Good Morning everyone, I'm back to share with you a lil' Card I made for Two Paper Divas! My apologies for my absence last week, but I'm still fending off this viral infection and as it's now week 4, it's clearly winning! Lol!

But here's my top-folding card using the new FERN and ENJOY THE LITTLE THINGS sets from October's New Releases. I fell in LURVE with this set as soon as I saw it as I knew it could be used for many occasions and using different techniques.



I created a sunset using Squeezed Lemonade, Fossilized Amber, Carved Pumpkin, Candied Apple and Seedless Preserves Distress Inks. A torn piece of paper created my "hillside" which I then colored in with a black Sharpie pen. I then stamped the FERN images using Black StazOn and my MISTI. I finished by coloring in the butterflies with a black Sharpie for a silhouette look and then stamped a portion of the Enjoy the Little Things Sentiment, also in Black StazOn Ink.
