Craft Stamper~ Beauty in Simplicity

Woohooo! It's time for another Challenge over at

This month, "anything goes" as long as you have used stamping somewhere on your project. Easy peasy right?

Our prize this month is

What a fun prize- I so want to try these! Lol

This month, I used some Tim Holtz Goodies for my cards...yep I made 2!! Woot Woot!

I used Tim Holtz (Wild Plum) and Pinata (Baja Blue and Senorita Magenta) Alcohol Inks with blending solution on Yupo paper to create the background of the first card. I normally don't use a blending tool for my Alcohol Inks, but I found by just dropping the inks onto blending solution and blowing with a straw, it left areas a bit tacky where the AI settled and the Lift Ink didn't work as well with my image. So using the blending tool helped with using the Ranger Lift Ink...for me anyways lol ;o)

I then inked up the TH butterfly stamp/sentiment with Ranger's Lift Ink and stamped onto the AI panel. I then dabbed the areas with a paper towel...just ensure you use a clean part of the paper towel as you dab at new areas to avoid color transfer. Once you've dabbed most it, just wipe away the excess and voila, you have a pretty image show up in the alcohol ink.

With the ink left on the stamps, I stamped off the second card. I love the softness of it. :)

I finished both cards by adhering the panels to black cardstock bases cut to 4.25"x5.5". Some Nuvo Drops finished of both cards.

I sure hope I've inspired you to get crafty today!

I can't wait to see your makes in this month's Challenge! Be sure to check out the DT's makes for more inspiration and leave them some luv.

I stamped the larger butterflie onto watercolor paper I painted with the yellow watercolor and fussy cut out. I added a sentiment and key to the large butterfly and some washi tape finished it off.

And here's the inside of my card using sentiments from the SMILE STAMPlorations set:

STAMPlorations~ April Mixed Media Challenge

Happy Sunday everyone, it's that time again for a new challenge over at
http://stamplorations.blogspot.com/2017/03/stencil-sunday-march-5.html

The theme is always anything mixed media goes, except a card! Just remember you must use at least one stencil (any brand) in your project. You have until the end of the month to play!

This month, I made an art card from an old Library Card using ARTplorations Honeycomb Delight Mini Stencil and STAMPlorations Trendy Butterflies 2
I started by covering my card with old book paper then applying texture paste thru the Honeycomb Delight Mini Stencil. Once dry, I applied a light Gesso wash. I added some Dylusions Postbox Red Spray at the top and let it run down. Once dry, I splattered with black paint mixed with a bit of water.
I stamped the Largest butterfly from the Trendy Butterflies 2 set onto acetate with black StazOn Ink and fussy cut it. I then stamped the image again onto old paper and cut it out but applied it to the card face down, as I only wanted the silhouette of the stamp so the text from the paper shows thru the acetate. I traced around the butterfly with a black watercolor pencil and waterbrush to add some shading. I stamped a sentiment in the top left corner and finished with some washi tapes and adhered it to black cardstock.
There, we have it, another fun make using the fabulous stamps and stencils from STAMPlorations. :o) I sure hope I've inspired you to get crafty and join in our challenge.

Journal Page~ We are all fragile!

Hi everyone! Only a few  more days until the weekend! woohoo! Hope y'all have some fun and crafty plans for it!

I'm here to share a Journal Page I did so I could play along with the CreativeKady Inpirational Prompt Stick Challenge "Try It Tuesday #4"

Here are the prompts:

and here is my Journal Page:
I started by priming my journal page with Gesso. I inked a background with different shades of Distress Inks in Shaded Lilac, Dusty Concord and Seedless Preserves so I could keep with the one color prompt. I then Stenciled over it with Shaded Lilac using Heidi Swapp Squared Lattice Stencil. For the orange prompt, I used Dylusions Circles Stencil ( DYS40668) and misted it with water in the top right and bottom left corners. I stamped some "Script" with an unknown stamp (got it at a swap sorry!) in Archival "Deept Purple" Ink. Punched out some circles from Dictionary Paper  and outlined with a purple Staedtler Karat Watercolor Crayon and went over it with a wet brush. Finshed with some drips using "Crushed Grape" Dylusions Spray. I also added some splatter using "After Midnight" for added depth. Used Golden Matte Medium to adhere the Quote I found on Pinterest that I printed onto Tissue Paper. I outlined the quote using Derwent Charcoal Pencil.

Finished by adding the Butterfly, with a little Clear Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen , that I found online at PNGIMG.com and cut out using my silhouette. I added some pop dots to the wings for added dimension.

I had a lot of fun with this Challenge and getting Inky in the process! lol

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you leave a comment, as I love hearing form you! :o)

Jasmine Catchin' Butterflies!

Happy Saturday Crafty Friends!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with your family and Friends. I wish you all the very best in 2015 as well!

Ok, so I'm here to share a card I made for the Faery Ink Design Team Call. I just adore Amanda's creations, they are so sweet and versatile!

So wish me luck!
I used Jasmine Butterfly Catcher, she's a FREEBIE on the Faery Ink Blog . You should also check out the Faery Ink shop for all the adorable
Faery Ink design images...something for everyone and every occasion. :o)

I used CS from American Crafts and DP from Craft Smith- Charming Charlotte Collection. I cut out the image with my Circle dies from Lifestyle Crafts and finished with Exotic Butterflies from Cheery Lynn Designs. Added a black Doily from Recollections for Texture and flowers from my stash for a pop of color!

I colored the image with SN Markers, Prismacolor Pencils, Moondust Gellyroll pen and Wink of Stella on the wings.

Now, here's why I would like to be a DT member for Faery Ink Designs. I love the assortment of adorable images that Amanda has created. It's always fun to create with images that are so versatile. You can see how much Amanda enjoys drawing and creating as is evident in her designs. :o)

Now, on to the hard part...talking about one's self...what does one really say? hehehehe. Well I have a quirky sense of humor, enjoy crafting, watching Youtube videos for new techniques and ideas, I'm a team player and enjoy crafting with people who love it as much as I do. I have participated in the Faery Ink FB Challenges. I don't know that I have a "Style" persay...as I tend to go where the image or Challenge theme "takes me". I enjoy coloring and am practicing all the time to get better. ;o) And I love trying new techniques.

Hmmm, oh right, I've been on other Design Teams and know what the position entails. I love commenting on submissions as it's always fun to see everyone's take on themes and challenges. Plus, you can always learn something new from everyone.
I'm currently a team leader for Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenges, and am delighted to be on the following design teams: Creative Knockouts (2 cards/month), Sparkles Monthly Challenges (1/month), Emerald Faeries Challenges (1/month), My Whimsical Little World (2/month)  Meljen's Designs (2/month) and Inspiration Destination Challenges (1-2/month). I'm always on time with my creations, love working with different images and artists and take pride in my creations. :o)

Thank you Amanda and the Faery Ink DT for your consideration. Please email me amyalmeida20@gmail.com if you have any questions.
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Thank you for stoppin' by and Happy Craftin'!
