Faery Ink~ Gabbie Poppy Fae

Good Morning Crafty Friends, I'm here to share a card I created for

using the newly released Gabbie Poppy Fae. How gorgeous is she???
I knew I wanted to create a luscious scene for this pretty image as soon as I saw it.

I used Twinkling H20's in Poppy Red for my background, how appropriate is that? LOL! I just love the gold shimmer in it....unfortunately, the camera doesn't pick it up well. I then stamped the Dylusions Around the Edge-Leaves with Jet Black Archival Ink and colored them in with Cut Grass Dylusions Paint. Added some doodling with a Signo White Gel Pen and voila a vibrant and lush background. I kept the card CAS embellishment wise as I didn't want to distract from the image and background. I will add a sentiment once I know what I will use it for. That's what I love about Amanda's Faery Ink Images, they are so versatile and can be used for various mediums and occasions.

Here's a close up of my image that I colored with Spectrum Noir Markers and Prismacolor pencils and fussy cut out. I added some SN Clear Sparkle Pen to her wings- don't think the camera picks up all the
shimmer :o(

I adhered her onto my base card with some 3D foam tape to add some dimension
I sure hope I've inspired you to get crafty today!

Faery Ink~ Watercoloring with Tottie Breezy Fae!

Good Morning Crafty Friends, I'm here to share a card I created for

using the newly released Tottie Breezy Fae. How cute is she???
I wanted to practice my watercoloring using my Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils.

I printed her onto some Strathmore Watercolor 9x12 sheets and colored her with the Aquarell Watercolor Pencils and Tim Holtz Water Brush and fussy cut her out and mounted her with 3D Foam Dots. I used DP from stash and a  Hero Arts "Hope Your Day Shines" (Retired) sentiment in Blazing Red Staz On ink. Finished with some buttons and twine.

Here's a closer look at the image- I learned to let your image DRY after printing before watercoloring...but all in all not too bad. :o)

I hope I've inspired you today to get crafty and try some watercoloring! Don't forget we also have a fun "FLOWER POWER" challenge over on FB- Come play along with us!

Faery Ink~ Zoe Zombie

Hi Crafty Friends, I'm back to share with you a lil' something different.

http://faeryink.com

Amanda, the owner/creator of Faery Ink, has done a Coloring Tutorial!!

Go and grab yours here and play along with us!

I'm not a colorist...at all. But this tutorial was really easy to follow and more importantly, FUN!!

I used Distress Inks in Shaded Lilac, Seedless Preserves and Concord Grape for the background. Then used Dylusions Heart (Small) Stencils with Black Soot and TCW Mini Cubist Stencil with Victorian Velvet. I then cut the BG with Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders for some dimension.  Finished with Silver enamel dots and a sentiment from Hero Arts- Year Round Sentiments.

You'll need to purchase the tutorial to get the SN Marker colors I used- as Amanda gives your variations for Copis, SN Markers and Promarkers!

And here's the inside:

Thanks for stoppin' by! Happy Craftin'!

Faery Ink~ Destiny Woodlands Fae

Good Morning Crafty Friends, I'm here to share a card I made for
http://faeryink.com/

using the Newly  Released "Destiny Woodlands Fae" Digital stamp.
I think the thing I love most about Amanda's images, besides them being stunning, is that they can work for just about any occasion or medium. The detail on "Destiny Woodlands Fae"   just brings out the magical essence of this fae from the lush leaves on her outfit to the strong branches on her delicate wings. Just magical and whimsical! Love, love, LOVE!!

I colored her up with rich fall-like color tones with Spectrum Noir Markers
and added some Liquid Pearls in Red, Brown and Bisque for some added texture.  Finished with some Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens on her wings. Just love this stuff....it's A-MAZ-ING!!
Here's the inside of my card with a Hero Arts Sentiment:

I hope I've inspired you to get crafty today.

Faery Ink~ Steampunk Coco

Good Morning Crafty Friends, I'm here to share a Canavas I created  for
http://faeryink.com/

using the newly released "Steampunk Coco".
This image is absolutely perfect for Mixed Media with her gears and tools! Love the details on this Digital Stamp!
I started by mixing Twinkling H2O's for my background. Then I added some die cuts from the Silhouette Design Store which I enameled with Black, Bronze, Copper, Teal and Champagne Embossing Powders to get a rusty steampunk feel.

I colored the image onto Old Dictionary Paper and used Aquarelle Pencils.
Love the aged look I got. :o)

A sentiment, lace and embellies from my stash and there you have my Steampunk Canvas.

Hope I've inspired you to get crafty today.

Happy Crafting!

Faery Ink~ Gabbie the Orchid Faery

Good Morning Crafty Friends, I'm here to share a card I made for
http://faeryink.com/

using the newly released "Gabbie the Orchid Faery".
I just love the lush flowers and gorgeous details on this image. A  definite MUST HAVE- can be for Birthday's, missing you, thinking of you or just a "Hello"!! I think that's why I'm so in love with Amanda's images, they are so versatile. :o)

I went with a red, green and black color palette to keep the lush colors but not have it look like Christmas and I think the black accomplishes that. I used CS from Recollections and DP from Momenta.

I colored the image with SN Markers and added some twine and flowers from my stash. I then finished with some Aged Ivory Frantage and voila!

Of course I had to finish the inside of the card with the same design as the front using a sentiment from Happy Valentines Day set by Jessica Lynn Original and Red Staz On Ink :

Hope I've inspired you to get crafty today.

Happy Crafting!

Good Morning Crafty Friends, I'm here to share a journal cover I made for
http://faeryink.com/

using the new release "Cheerful Mushroom Fae".
I knew as soon as I saw this image that I wanted to make a journal cover for a friend. She LURVES Fairies and those cute lil' mushrooms! hehehe
I started by priming the notebook covers with a layer of Gesso layering pieced of torn DP and gluing it down using Matte Medium. After it dried, I used Twinkling H20'S    in Jasmine, Ruby Red and Poppy Red.  I then added some texture using Prima "Sunrise Sunset" Stencil and some Liquitex Modeling Paste Stamped with various stamps in Archival Jet Black Ink and added some Doilies. Finished with Some Mushroom Die Cuts (sorry got these in a swap so don't know the name) and some white splatters using White Acrylic Paint mixed with water.
Here's a closer look at the image I colored with SN Markers:

and the back cover:

Faery Ink~ Fae Babes

Good Morning Crafty Friends, I'm here to share a card I made for
http://faeryink.com/

using "Fae Babes" from this month's New Releases! I mean this digi is just too cute for words even!
Nov INSP
I wanted to create a soft and shabby Chic sort of card, so I distressed and inked the edges of all my papers. I kept to pastel pink, green and blue as I didn't want it necessarily gender specific. I then finished with a sentiment from Pure Innocence in Hero Arts Pool- Navy Ombre ink and some enamel dots.

I colored these lil' babes with Spectrum Noir Markers and Prismacolor Pencils:

Nov Insp Image.

I'm so happy with how these lil' cuties turned out! Of course I finished the inside of my card to match the front.

Nov Insp Inside

Thank you for stopping by today, I hope I've inspired you to get your craft on!

Good Morning Crafty Friends, and happy Thursday!
I'm here to share a treat bag I made for

Today this Digi, "Bella Candy Fae" is FREE!!

I started with a plain white Paper bag then cut some Recollections DP and CS to size for the background. I then stenciled with Metallic Acrylic Paint in pink on Pink CS before adhering the image.

I colored the image with SN Markers and added some white Gelly Roll Marker on her cheeks.

I finished by punching two holes and threading some pink Raffia ribbon and a button as a closure.

Hope I've inspired you today with a cute and fun way to create treat bags. :o)

Faery Ink~ Demera Star Angel

Good Morning Crafty Friends, I'm here to share a mixed media Poster I made for
http://faeryink.com/

This month I got to work with "Demera Star Angel"
for my my inspiration.

I just fell in love with this image when I saw it! I just love the detail on the wings and her star halo!

Isn't she just gorgeous???

I've been on a Mixed Media kick lately, and had so much fun creating this! I created the background using parchment paper...yep..parchment paper. Love the texture it gave. Simply crunch up your parchment paper and then glue down onto your canvas, cardstock or paper. I used 140lb mixed media paper with Matte Medium for my adhesive. Allow to dry and then have at 'er. lol.

I used Gelato's in blue and gold, then went over it all with Stampin' up Teal Ink pad. I then added some Paper Smooches Star  die cuts and created my own sentiment on Pic Monkey.

I colored this angelic beauty with Spectrum Noir Markers and Prisma Color Pencils. Here's a closer look:

Faery Ink~ Frankie's Bride

Good Morning Crafty Friends, I'm here to share a card I made for
http://faeryink.com/

I got to work with "Frankie's Bride" for my Inspiration post today because we are ALL ABOUT GEARING UP FOR HALLOWEEN!! That's right...Halloween! Woohoo!

Here we go with my card...
Ok, so I can't do SPOOKY...but I can do CUTE...hehehehe and I just love the forlorn look on her face, like she's waiting for that special someone...Frankie of course! lol!
I used my corner dies from Cuttlebug and Regal Labels from Sizzix. I distressed and inked the edges for more of a tattered look, like she's been waiting a long time...poor gal...but for some girls it does take a while to meet the one..am I right ladies? ;o) DP is from Creative Memories and sentiment is from Tim Holtz.

I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Markers and kept it neutral but for a pop of color on her skin...thought it made it more ethereal. Oh and who needs red roses...Not Frankie's Bride..she prefers Black/Purple roses...to each to their own I say. ;o)
I added a Spider diecut which I enameled in Black EP and heated and stamped with Brilliance Ink in Brilliance Platinum Planet. Got the idea from RACH0013 on Youtube. Check out her vids...she's amazing!!!

Here's the inside where I double stamped the sentiment to get a "Ghost/Shadow" Effect:

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope I've helped you get in the mood for Halloween!

Happy Craftin'!
