Cute as a Button

I have a cute card for you today. It's for the Sketch N Stash Challenge 116 and DT Call .
Here's my take on it.

I stamped the "Cute-A-Tude" Image onto ultra smooth premium cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black.I colored it with Spectrum Noir Markers and paper-pieced the dress with the same Glitter Paper from the Base card.

I used the scalloped die to cut out the image and adhered that to a large Scalloped die in Pink. This was adhered to the card with pop dots. I used a button and twine for her hair embellishment. Paper sprigs, ribbon, pearls and other buttons were used to finish off the card according to the sketch.

Supplies:
Cardstock/Paper: American Crafts Cardstock- Spring Collection, Fancypants Designs paper in Glittered Dotted Mint, & ultra smooth premium cardstock for alcohol Markers from Crafter's Companion.

Love Birds...

Love is Tweet!

For today's card I wanted to use this Quackers stamp from Just Inklined. I used a tree die cut from Cricut's Cindy Loo Collection. Fishtail Flags Dies from My Favorite Things and Spellbinders Label 13. Cuttlebug "Pinking Stitch" and "Circles" Embossing Folders. The leave's are from a Cuttlebug Daisy Kit and the flowers from Fiskars Flower Punch. The Sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps "Aww, So Tweet! Sentiments".

I colored the Digi with Spectrum Noir Markers and one of the birds twice for 3D effect.

I used pop dots on the original image and again on the second bird to give it some dimension.

For the inside of the card, I used a smaller die cut of the tree and the "Love is Tweet" Sentiment.

Pop dots, glue stick, Double Sided-Tape and a Xyron Adhesive were used for adhesives. Pearls were used for the flower centre's and embellishments on the sentiments.

I am hoping to enter this card in the following challenges:

Girlie Birthday!

Good Morning! Today I have a Girlie Birthday card to share.

For this Shaped Easel card I used different shades of purple cardstock from American Crafts and Purple Gingham Paper from Recollections. I used a Bestie Digi by Sherri Baldy which can be found HERE. These images are so adorable and so much fun to color. I used Spectrum noir alcohol markers to color the image and Dew Drop Chalk in Perfect Plumeria to shade the die cut edge.

To shape the card, I used  the “Cherish” Punch Around the Page punch from Martha Stewart Crafts and the Valerian Flourish Die from Memory Box. Labels 14 from Spellbinders Nestabilities were used with the Birthday Sentiment from Stampin’ Up! Happiest Birthday Wishes collection for the inside of the card.

Liquid Pearls in Lavender, Diamond Stickles, Purple Brads, ribbon and Bling from my stash were used for embellishments.

The Paper Shelter- Challenge #117- "Anything but a Card"

Hello Happy Crafters! For The Paper Shelter- Challenge #117- "Anything but a Card" challenge, I created a stamped candle.

I used the My Little Spoiled digital Stamp from the The Paper Shelter. I printed the digital image onto tissue paper with my Printer and colored the image with my Tombow markers. I find these are easier for the smaller detailed images, however, they don't blend as well as alcohol markers. I then used my embossing heating tool to stick the image onto the candle.

I stamped the "Sassy" sentiment from My Favorite Things with Memento Dye ink in Nautical Blue onto tissue paper and heated that onto the candle. Then used ribbon, flower and pearls from my stash for embellishments.

This is my first challenge with The Paper Shelter but it was a lot of fun in trying to incorporate a sweet stamp into a creation while keeping with-in the theme. Why don't you join in the fun?

Happy Stampin'!

Hi Ya! Today I have a really cute card to show you that I've made for an online challenge- The theme was DOTS and STRIPES. This is the first challenge I am entering so I hope I'm doing it right! I had a lot of fun creating this card.

Father's Day

I find male cards the hardest to do, because embellishing them can be difficult...sigh. However, I made 3 Father's day cards. Yep my father is one lucky fella! hehehe

As soon as I saw this digital stamp from Justinklined.com I knew I had to have it! I mean come on, it's  aptly named "Like Father, Like Daughter" and everything, I couldn't resist! Anyone who knows either my dad or me, knows this stamp rings true on a Sunday afternoon!  I colored it using Spectrum Noir Markers .The sentiment is from   Daddy's Heartbeat Sentiments Pack from Whimsy Stamps and was cut out using Labels Twenty- Eight Die from Spellbinders. I embellished it using American Craft Ribbons, Baker's Twine, buttons and brads.

This card I made from my dog for his Grandpa. I know, I know...but Bubbaganoush is the only "grandkid" they have from me so far....so I do what I have to do in order to avoid the Marriage and Kids conversations. hehehehe. This was a 3D cut-out "Slouch Couch" from Craftsuprint.com. I decided on a Center Step card (instructions available at Splitcoaststampers) and layered the different pieces onto the base card with Silicone glue. Buttons, bakers twine and bling were used for embellishments. I tied the card to Bubba's collar and he delivered it himself...my dad loved it!

My Mom had requested a card as well for my dad...who was I to object? So this is another 3D cut-out "Father, On your special day" from   Craftsuprint.com. I did a 5.5' square based card. Layers the bases and used silicone glue for the 3D images. A button and bakers twine finished it off.

This is the inside of the card. I used the small Labels Twenty- Eight Die from Spellbinders with the sentiment from the 3D cut-pack, pearls and a bow to finish it off. Who says men don't need bling??

Happy Craftin',

Teacup Wedding!

I recently had an order for a wedding card. But not just any ordinary wedding card, one that included teacups, skydiving, blue bells (not the flower) and ponies.  Quite the challenge! It took me a about a week to come up with a design that would work. I couldn't incorporate the skydiving or ponies, but the client loved how the card turned out- and that's the important thing, am I right? I had a lot of fun creating this card so I hope you like it too!

I came up with the idea of creating a "Wedding Cake" out of teacups. Stamp from Floppy Latte Designs. I re-sized the different "tiers" and then colored with Spectrum Noir Markers. I then used different colors of Liquid Pearls to decorate the wedding cake as icing would look on a real cake.

I used images from  Craftsuprint for the wedding cake "Topper" and blue bell. I made a flower from Cricut Projects- Flower Shoppe. and used a Lace strip  and Pearls for some added dimension.

Finished it off with a poem inside cut out with Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Squares die.

Happy Stampin'!

Shoe Birthday Card and Gift Box

My Mother's Birthday falls 2 weeks after Mother's Day...so every year I try to distinguish the two apart and do something different for both occasions.  You can view the Mother's Day card in a previous post.

I bought my mother a pair of earrings but the box is pretty evident in distinguishing what it is and if you knew my mother....she loves surprises!!! So this year, I made a little “Lunch Box” Gift box and Card.

The Following Supplies were used for the Gift Box:

Cricut Cartridges- Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2
Cricut Projects- Flower Shoppe
“Mom”- All in the Family Large Sentiments from Just Rite
Versamark Ink
Eggplant Pearl Embossing Powder from Recollections
Heat Gun
Small Circle Punch from Marvy Uchida
Sookwang Tape
Craft Glue
Various cardstock shades from  from American Crafts Pastels Collection

She loved carrying the box and now has it proudly displayed on her mantle, so it was worth the paper cuts assembling it! :o)

Not only does my mother enjoy surprises, she also has a flair for SHOES!!! Like mother, like daughter.

For this card, I used the following supplies:

Fashion Shoe Digital Stamp from Justinklined.
Border Bling from Gina K. Stamps
Dew Drop Purple Hydrangea Chalk Ink
Spectrum Noir Markers
Liquid Pearls in Lavender Lace
Ultra Smooth Premium White Cardstock from Crafter's Companion (For when using alcohol markers)
Different shades of Purple cardstock from American Crafts Pastels Collection
Purple Shimmer cardstock from DCWV Shimmer Stack Collection
Paper Piercer and template from Stampin' Up!
SpellBinders Nestabilities- Scalloped Ovals,  Labels Twenty-Five & Labels Fourteen Dies
Prima Heartshaped Pearl Flower
Feather and Pearls for embellishments.
Pop Dots

This too was a hit, but then again, what woman doesn't like a fabulous shoe???

Happy Craftin'!

Hand- Stamped Candles

Ok, sometimes when I'm left to my Own devices I try something and it works....then again, sometimes it doesn't turn out. This is one of those times that it totally works! :o)

You can find the tutorial from Splitcoaststampers here.

I hand-stamped images onto candles using tissue paper, wax paper and my heat embosser. I can only say, watch out for the heat on both your candle and your little hands...Ask me how I know. ;o) I also used various coloring mediums such as Bic Markers, Tombow Markers (these work best for fine detailed images). Also various inks such as dyed ink (dries quicker), Chalk inks and pigment inks (just allow images to dry completely before heating).

These make great gifts! Perfect for that special someone as you can customize it personally. I'd love to hear what you think or see what you've created!

Happy Stampin'!
