STAMPlorations~ February Challenge!

Happy Sunday crafty friends! It's that time again...
http://stamplorations.blogspot.com/2016/08/stencil-sunday-august-7.html
A new challenge starts today at STAMPlorations! :o)

The theme is always anything mixed media goes except a card! Just remember you must use at least one stencil (any brand) in your project. You have until the end of the month to play!

Here is a lil' tag I made using ARTplorations  Weaving stencil and STAMPlorations Always Time for Tea stamp set.

I started with a tag cut from watercolor paper and then added Ranger TexturePaste thru the Weaving Stencil in the top left and bottom right corners.  After that paste dried, I  then wet the paper with paperto prepare for my watercoloring. I used my Kuretake GansaiTambi Watercolors and applied  No. 44 & No. 139 in layers; drying in between layers.

I stamped and embossed the teacups from the ALWAYS TIME FOR TEA stamp set onto Wisteria Paper from BasicGrey. I fussy cut them out and layered them on top of eachother creating a slit in the bottom cup with my Exacto knife. I adhered them with Golden Matte Medium. I stamped a sentiment from the same set with Jet Black Archival Ink as I thought it needed some black. I  then cut a slit in the top cup and added the flower sprigs from Melissa Francis Embellishments. Some faux white stitching along the edge of the tag with my White Molotow Pen finished it off. :o)

There, we have it, another fun make using the fabulous stamps and stencils from STAMPlorations. :o) I sure hope I've inspired you to get crafty and join in our challenge.

I stamped a sentiment from the set in Jet Black Archival Ink and then splattered some Twinkling H20's in Wild Plum and Forest Green to tie into the background. I stamped the leaf teacup with the Jet Black Archival Ink and colored with SN Markers and fussy cut it out.

Two Paper Divas~Challenge #1- Sketch

Happy Friday Crafty Friends, I'm back to share with you a make for
http://www.twopaperdivas.com/shop/

It's our very first challenge- it will run for 2 weeks ! Woohoo! We have a fabulous sketch for you:

Remember you can turn the sketch, but we have to be able to see the sketch in your make! You can find the rules here.

Here's my take on the challenge Sketch using Tea Cups
I did a Shaker card! Love me some shaker cards! LOL

I started by embossing the Tea Cups
with white EP onto Strathmore Watercolor paper. I then used distress Inks in Abandoned Coral and Broken China and used it for some watercolor smooshing by pressing pads onto acetate and spritzing with water and putting image on top.

I used the sentiment from the Tea Cups set but cut it to fit a Ticket Die cut From Echo Park (retired). I squared off the shape of the sketch and used from "Tea Party" by Craft Smith and added a border. Finished with a Bow Die from Maggie Holmes

Here's the inside:

Thank you for stopping by, I hope I've inspired you and have a fabulous weekend!

Be sure to stop by next Friday for few fun make using February's NEW RELEASE stamp sets from Two Paper Divas! :o)

Teacup Wedding!

I recently had an order for a wedding card. But not just any ordinary wedding card, one that included teacups, skydiving, blue bells (not the flower) and ponies.  Quite the challenge! It took me a about a week to come up with a design that would work. I couldn't incorporate the skydiving or ponies, but the client loved how the card turned out- and that's the important thing, am I right? I had a lot of fun creating this card so I hope you like it too!

I came up with the idea of creating a "Wedding Cake" out of teacups. Stamp from Floppy Latte Designs. I re-sized the different "tiers" and then colored with Spectrum Noir Markers. I then used different colors of Liquid Pearls to decorate the wedding cake as icing would look on a real cake.

I used images from  Craftsuprint for the wedding cake "Topper" and blue bell. I made a flower from Cricut Projects- Flower Shoppe. and used a Lace strip  and Pearls for some added dimension.

Finished it off with a poem inside cut out with Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Squares die.

Happy Stampin'!
