STAMPlorations~ Be Bold, Be True, Be You

Happy Sunday everyone! It's time for another

Today, I'm sharing a lil' Mixed Media Hanger I made for STAMPlorations Sunday Stencil #110 and for the

To keep with this month's THINGS WITH WINGS theme, I used Some Birds ARTplorations Stencil, along with a sentiment from Trendy Birds 2 STAMPlorations set along with the CUTplorations Upper and Lowercase Alphabet Plates.

. The designers have created some fabulous mixed media projects to inspire you. You can find them  hereso be sure to check them out and leave them some luv! :o)

I started with a long  8x36' Canvas Board and collaged some old book paper onto the back ground with Matte Medium. Once dry, I added a coat of Clear Gesso and once that layer was dry, I then  mixed Burnt Umber acrylic paint and Glazing Medium to  to create a glaze and then applied it to the board and wiped off with a baby wipe, as I just wanted the color in where the paper seams.

I then mixed Black Gesso with Modelling Paste and applied the paste thru the Some Birds stencil. I flipped over the stencil for the middle birdie. I then cut out the Sentiments by the birds from tthe Upper and Lowercase Alphabet Plates and adhered with Matte Medium.

I finished with one of the TH Display Hangers  and stamped "BE FREE" from the Trendy Birds 2 stamp set.

Voila! A fun little hanging art piece for my craftroom! :o)

TAGplorations~ Coffee Gives you Wings!

Hello crafty friends, I'm back with a lil' tag for the

This month it's all about THINGS WITH WINGS! As a coffee lover, I wanted a way to incorporate coffee into this month's theme.

I used the new Stiched Tag dies along with the mug from the After Coffee stamp set and wings from Trendy Butterflies 2 set.  The Coffee word die finished it off! Mmmm Coffee..and yes it does make me feel like I can do anything...even fly! lol

I started with the largest tag from the Stitched Tag die set cut from Strathmore Mixed Media Paper. I then inked the tag with Broken China Distress Ink. I then created "Cloud" by using cut paper and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink. I then added some water droplets for more texture.

I Colored the mug from the After Coffee Set and watercolored with Weathered Wood and Hickory Smoke Distress Inks and fussy cut out. I embossed the wings twice from the largest butterfly from the Trendy Butterflies 2 set and heat embossed with a multicolored Judikins EP. I cut out the right wings and adhered to the mug handle.

I adhered the mug and wings with foam tape. I added the Coffee word die and created the rest of the sentiment with a Studio G Alpha set. Some Nuvo Glow Drops in Blue Crush, added some more dimension and finished off my tag.

I sure hope I've inspired you to get crafty today! Oh and don't forget if you use code "STAMPGIRLAMY" you can get 20% off your purchase at the STAMPlorations Shop! :o)

CRAFTSTAMPER~ Love you to the Moon and Back!

Woohooo! It's time for another challenge over at

This month, "anything goes" as long as you have used stamping somewhere on your project. Easy peasy right? Our generous sponsor this month is

One lucky challenge participant will win these two Stamp sets!! *swoon* How adorable are they???

For  all the challenge details and for linking your entry please visit the Craft Stamper blog *here*

This month I used To the Moon Stamp/Die set from Altenew

I knew I wanted to create a Galaxy effect background, so I got out my Dr. Ph. Martin's India Inks and my Jane Davenport's Bright's Palette set.

I started out the same for each card, but taping some watercolor cold-press paper to a mason board and wetting it completey. I then added Pink's, purple's, blue's and black to the paper. I stamped the layered moons onto Mixed Media Paper with different Grey tone inks and die cut with the matching die.

For the Dr. Ph. Martin's India Inks, they blend and layer well, but once dry, they are dry. lol. I loved the vibrancy of them though. Once dry, I added the white and gold splatter with a tooth brush and added some "comets" with a Signo White Gel Pen. I used Distress Inks, in Weathered Wood, Hickory Smoke.

For the card using Jane Davenport's Bright's palette, I did the same thing, wet the card and dab the paint to create the texture/movement I wanted. I didn't go with a start black but rather the "Ink" Blue. I also, only used the 2 layers of the Moon Stamp for this card. I embossed the "Moon" word die cut in Reflections Silver embossing powder twice, to give it more depth.

I sure hope I've inspired you to get Crafty today and can't wait to see your makes in this month's Challenge! Be sure to check out the DT's makes for more inspiration here

We are switching it up a bit this month by adding a

Wooohooo! So here's a tag  I made using Senecio 1 and a sentiment from the Trendy Birds 2 stamp set.

I started with a  tag cut from the Manila Tags die set and applied Distress paints in Paint and Mustard Seed. I then added Brushed Corduroy  Distress Ink thru the Senecio 1  stencil. I colored the TH  Bird Branch die cut with Ground Espresso, Candied Apple and Posca Pens.

I adhered the diecut to my tag and used Walnut Stain Distress Crayon for a bit of shadowing with a waterbrush. I stamped the sentiment from the Trendy Birds 2 stamp set with Coffee Mini Archival Ink and finished with some stained seam binding.

There's my fun little tag for this month's THINGS WITH WINGS challenge- I sure hope I've inspired you to get crafty today!

Today, I'm using the BEAUTIFUL Bloomtangled #1 Coverplate along with a small Tags #1 with a butterfly and sentiment from the Trendy Butterflies 2 stamp set!

I went CAS here as I didn't want the Bloomtangled background to compete with my Butterfly. I cut out the coverplate from White CS and adhered to a black card base.

I then Stamped the medium butterfly from the Trendy Butterflies 2 set onto a piece of paper I watercolored with Dr. Ph. Martin's Bombay India Ink in Bright Red. Once dry, I  fussy cut it out and adhered to my tag.

I then stamped the sentiment from the Trendy Butterflies 2 set onto the second smallest Tags #1 set in Black Onyx Versafine Ink. A little gem from my stash finished it off. :o)

MAGNOLIA-LICIOUS~ Tilda Gift Card Tag

Good morning, It's time for a new Challenge over at the MAGNOLIA-LICIOUS Challenge blog, be sure to check out the amazing DT makes here!

For this month's challenge, I made a Gift Card holder Tag using Tilda with Flower in her pocket

I colored this adorable Tilda image with Spectrum Noir, Tombow and Distress Markers and then fussy cut her out. I used a White Dylusions paint pen for some added highlights.

I started my tag using several sheets of DP from the Lemon Craft 6x6- Forget Me Not paper pad.  I added some depth and texture with Spun Sugar and Broken China Distress Paints on the papers and stamped with Pumice Stone Distress Ink with a Text Stamp from my stash. I created the pocket for my Michaels Gift Card and added the Dandelions  Chipboard ad adhered Tilda.

Some crinkle seam binding and Shabby Bark Heart colored with the same Distress Paints finished off my tag along with a TH Chat Sticker.

I sure hope I've inspired you to get crafty today!
