Fairy Ink~ December Freebie of the Month~ Tinkerbell

Good Morning Crafty Friends,I'm here to share a card I made for
http://faeryink.com/

Today this Digi, "Tinkerbell" is FREE!! That's right...FREE. lol
Isn't she gorgeous!!??? Love her!

So hurry- quick, go and grab her while you can as she's only available for
24 hours!

Here's my card:

I started by cutting strips of Designer paper into 1' strips and gluing them down across a piece of 5 1/4' cardstock base and then inked the edges to warm it up a bit. I thought the DP's matched the colors of the digi Perfectly. :o) I finished with coordinating ribbon, twine and buttons but kept it pretty simple as I wanted Tinkerbell to be the focal point.

I colored Tinkerbell with Spectrum Noir Markers and used clear Wink of Stella on her wings.
Here's the inside of my card with a Sentiment from Hero Arts:

I hope I've inspired you to get crafty today! Don't forget, she's only available for 24 hours!

Happy Holidays and don't forget to share your makes on our FB Page and on Instagram

Happy Craftin'!

Faery Ink ~ Cheerful Mushroom Fae

Good Morning Crafty Friends, I'm here to share a journal cover I made for
http://faeryink.com/

using the new release "Cheerful Mushroom Fae".
I knew as soon as I saw this image that I wanted to make a journal cover for a friend. She LURVES Fairies and those cute lil' mushrooms! hehehe
I started by priming the notebook covers with a layer of Gesso layering pieced of torn DP and gluing it down using Matte Medium. After it dried, I used Twinkling H20'S    in Jasmine, Ruby Red and Poppy Red.  I then added some texture using Prima "Sunrise Sunset" Stencil and some Liquitex Modeling Paste Stamped with various stamps in Archival Jet Black Ink and added some Doilies. Finished with Some Mushroom Die Cuts (sorry got these in a swap so don't know the name) and some white splatters using White Acrylic Paint mixed with water.
Here's a closer look at the image I colored with SN Markers:

and the back cover:

I had a lot of fun with this and hope you've enjoyed my make using "Cheerful Mushroom Fae" and Happy Holidays! xx
Happy Craftin'!

Julia Spiri~ The Flower Girl Cottage

Happy Thursday Crafty Friends!

I'm here to share with you my make for
http://juliaspirichallengeblog.blogspot.ca/
It's Time for a new challenge and it is an Anything Goes Challenge with a twist!  Please check the rules here.

The twist is:

DOLLHOUSE

(Make a craft house for your digi)

Don't forget, this challenge is until January 6th- so you have lots of time for holiday festivities and crafty times. :o)

This challenge I used the beautiful The Flower Girl
and made her looking out the window of her  cabin.
I used my "Bricks on the Wall" EF from Couture Creations and embossed grey CS and then brushed over the raised parts lightly with white Craft ink. Then I cut out the window using "Arched Window" by LalaLand Crafts.

I added Savannah Border from Memory Box, I.O."Grass Border, and Shabby Flourish from LalaLand Crafts Kits to create a cottage feel with vines, flowers and grass.

The Flower Girl  was colored with SN Markers and tucked in behind the window cut out.
Here's a note to self: DO NOT mix up your Silver and Moondust Gelly Roll pens...they are quite different!! Doh! But I still like how she turned out.

I finished with Liquid pearls on the flourishes and vines and in the flowers in her hair.

I look foward to your crafty makes and hope you all have a Happy Holidays!

Faery Ink~ Owl Ride

Good Morning Crafty Friends, I'm here to share a card I made for
http://faeryink.com/

using the New Release "Owl Ride" Digi.
I started with a piece of water colored paper and gluing down little square scraps of paper in both the top left and bottom right corners. I then went over them with Twinkling H20's in Cinnamon and Burnt Umber; I also added a few swipes of Gesso to break up the color a bit. I stamped feathers and "Fly Away" from Hampton Arts "Birds" Stamp and Stencil Vintologie Set in Jet Black Archival Ink and added some Burlap and Cheesecloth from my stash. Finished it with some Recollections Bling Dots.

I printed the image onto Kraft Cardstock and colored it with Prismacolor Pencils. Love the softness it lends to the image.

I used Foam Dots to give the image more dimension:

And here's the inside of my card using a sentiment and feathers from Hampton Arts "Birds" Stamp and Stencil Vintologie Set:

I hope I've inspired you to get crafty today, thank you for stopping by. :o)
