MWLW New Release- Capturing Memories

Good Morning Crafty Friends!

I'm here to share a card I made for
http://mywhimsicallittleworld.blogspot.ca/

Today, we have a picture perfect new release with Capturing Memories
This lil' lady looks like she's busy traveling and capturing moments...so I made a Mixed Media Inspired Passport Folio Card.
I got the idea from DEDE WILLINGHAM'S YT Video. I just cut mine in half ;o)
I started by using Gesso on my File folder and then Inked the edges with "Frayed Burlap" Distress Ink. Then I decoupaged some inked & torn DP's and Stenciled the corners with Gold Texture Paste. I then stamped with different stamps (Prima, Tim Holtz) in different Archival inks. Finished with a Maroon earring behind the image, coiled gold wire, some brads and metal arrows and a coin button. I also made a clock face from a wood circle by painting it white and stamping in Sepia Archival Ink. I then added sentiment stickers from Tim Holtz, as I thought it summed it up perfectly :o).

Here's the back:

I colored this lil' adventurer with SN Markers and fussy cut her out:

Here's the inside with different tags and DP's from DCWV "Edumacation Stack". I stenciled with both "Black Soot" Distress ink and White Texture paste and finished with from American Crafts.

Happy Craftin'!

Fae Believe...

Good Morning Crafty Friends, I'm here to share a card I made for
http://faeryink.com/

I got to work with "Fae "Believe" Sign" for my Inspiration post today and I just think this stamp is too cute for words! It comes with the "Believe" sentiment in the sign and also a blank version. Here's my lil' Shake, Shake, Shaker card using the Blank version.
Fae "Believe" Sign, is from this month's new releases! I just love this little whimsical Fae and had a lot of fun with the Shaker element.
I used DP from MME and CS from Recollections, and I love the whimsical feel of the card with the soft color palette and DP's.

I colored the image with SN Markers and added some white Gellyroll marker for highlights. Finished with some Wink of Stella on her wings. Added a "Thinking of You" Sentiment from So Suzy Stamps

To create the Shaker element, I used my Circle Dies from Lifestyle Crafts  and cut out the DP where I wanted the shaker to be. Cut a piece of acetate to glue from behind. Added some foam tape and sequins Mixture and adhered to my base card. Added a die cut bow from Crate Paper - Maggie Holmes Collection - Styleboard - Die Set and some white Enamel dots from MME.

Here's the inside of my card with the same design and a sentiment from Hero Arts- Year Round Sentiments :

I hope you've enjoyed my card today and I've inspired you to get crafty!

A Little Snark for everyone! ;o)

Hello Crafty Friends, just a quick post to show you some cards I made for the

If you aren't a part of this fabulous group, you should be! The ladies are super sweet, funny and always available with a quick tip/fix. I just can't say enough about this group!

So Suzy Stamps is sponsoring this fun challenge as she really does have a great assortment of funny and snarky sentiments!

So here's my two card using the Faux Textured Metal technique I saw on Jennifer McGuire's Website last weekend. Be sure to watch her YouTube video as she goes through each set perfectly! Such a simple and fun technique! :o)

Here's my first one using "Squeezed Lemonade" & "Crushed Olive" Distress Inks. Then I brushed it with Perfect Pearls "Biscotti" and stamped with Argument  from So Suzy Stamps. I then embossed it with "Modern Mosaic" EF from Stampin' Up! Used 2 strips of Black Metalic Papers from American Crafts and done like Dinner! lol!

Here's a closer look at the sentiment:
I wish you could see the pretty shimmer! Love!

Here's the inside of my card with a Sentiment/image from Unity Stamps "Sweet & Sour Soup"

Here's my second card using only "Hickory Smoke" Distress ink and the "Biscotti" Perfect Pearls. I used Throw on a Crown from So Suzy Stamps and then embossed it with the Stringed Circles EF from Quickutz.
(Sorry my pictures are dimmer for this card, but my original Chipboard Crown was beige, so when I took it off to paint it silver, it was too dark outside to retake the photos. DOH!)
I kept it fairly CAS with just the Chipboard crown I had in my stash and painted silver.

Here's a closer look at the sentiment

Here's the inside of the card with crown and sentiment from Michael's

Hope  you join in the fun over at Stamp Junkies FB group

So Suzy Stamps~ Shaker Turtle

Good Morning my crafty friends,I'm here, with some inspiration for

http://www.sosuzystamps.com/

Today, I have a cute lil' Shaker Card I made using Marco-Sea Turtle. As soon as I saw this lil' guy, I knew I wanted to make him into a shaker card!

My Kraft cardbase is 5'x5' and I cut a Yellow piece of Cardstock 1/8' smaller and and a white piece 1/8' smaller again. Embossed the white CS with Embossalicious- Petite Dot EF for some texture. Used my Lifestyle Crafts Nesting Circles  for my Cut out. Cut my acetate 1/2' larger than my cutout.

Now here's the fun part...you add Foam tape around your cutout and fill 'er up with sequins and adhere to the Yellow CS. I used a mixture of Green's and Yellows from The Ton- Sequins. You really need to check out all of their colors! One word....GORGEOUS!!
Finished with a Seashell Border die and a Provo-Craft "Hello Friend" Sentiment die.

Here's Marco, colored with SN Markers and fussy cut:
