Graduation!

Graduation Cards

It's that time of year where students are gearing down for the home stretch, prom and graduation! I had a request for 2 Graduation cards for males- one in Navy and White and one in Burgundy and White.

The first card is the Burgundy and White, I apologize for the darkness of some of the photos, but my camera seems to be on the glitch! :o(  I used Pomegrante and Ivory Corrugated Cardstock from Bazzil, Fishtail Flag Dies from My Favorite Things , Liquid Pearls in Bisque, Circle Nestabilities dies from Spellbinders,  Paper Piercing Template from Stampin' Up! , Graduation Digital Stamp Set from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.
I cut the Digital Stamp of the Graduation Cap, so I could bend and give it some dimension with pop-dots. The Tassle I made using embroidery thread and attached it to the cap with a gold brad. I just used a circle punch for the award; finishing off with the fishtail flags as the ribbon.  I used the Piercing templates to pencil in the design I wanted on the corners and then went over them in the liquid pearls.
The inside of the card, I just printed a poem and layered it on the card using the Circle dies and Diploma Scroll from the Digital Stamp set, that I colored with Spectrum Noir Markers. I used  cap and diploma stickers to decorate the envelope.
I used the same products on the Navy Graduation Card- just a different layout.

Congratulations to all the Graduates out there....your hard work has paid off & may your future be bright and full of possibilities!

Flower Power

Upon cleaning and sorting my craft room, I came across an abundance of flowers and scrap paper. So thought I would make simple cards with them. Here's a few that I came up with...

I love using Purple, teal and black together, I think it's a great combination!

I think, red, black and silver makes another color combination that always looks so elegant together!

This is just a simple card made from left over Butterfly Printed paper which I embellished with Paper Flowers and pearls.

Mother's Day

Mother's Day

In appreciation for all Mother's do....

For mother's day, I made a few different cards for friends and of course my mother. :-) I also, made my mother a Note card set.

This card was an order for a friend. She asked me to make a Mother's Day card using House Mouse Stamps.  I just love House Mouse, they are so much fun to color and create with! I colored the House Mouse- Sunflower Smooch! Stamp, using  Spectrum Noir Markers. I fussy cut the image out and adhered it to a white Beaded Circles die cut from Spellbinders. On the flowers, I used glass accents and mico- glass beads to give the flowers more dimension. and finished off with pastel green and pink pearls and ribbon from American Crafts. Her mother loved the card! :-)

This card, I made for my own mother, who I love dearly! I used a laser cut I purchased from Scrapbook Parade, a local craft store. I glittered the laser cut silhouette with purple fine glitter. The "mom" decal I got from Whimsy Stamps digital collection and colored it with Spectrum Noir Markers. I used glass beads in purple and green silk flowers and ribbon for embellishments.

This card was another card order and it's an easel card...it was my first attempt at an easel card....I still have to work on them. lol!
Again, I used the Beaded Circles die cut from Spellbinders. The Stamp set is "Country Companions- Sunshine Meadows"- it came with my Papercraft Inspirations magazine Issue111.Very cute stamps! I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Markers. Used Liquid Pearls in Light Blue and White. I also used Stickles- Diamond on the Dandelions. On the inside of the card, I used paper flowers with pearl centers.

This was the Note Card Set I made my mother. I got the idea from Cardmaking and Papercraft Magazine, March 2013 issue, with my own take on it. I used the Inspired by Flowers Set 4 by My Favorite Things. The flowers were inked with Dew Drop ink in Purple Hydrangea and the greetings were done in Spanish Olive. Pearls and paper flowers were used for embellishments.

The left hand side hold the envelopes, all with a paper flower and pearl centre. The right hand side holds the Note Cards- 3 of Each Flower set. The insides are all blank but layered with Purple and green cardstock.

Thank you to all the mother's out there who make each and every day special!

Graphic 45- A Ladies' Diary

Vintage Ladies

Using Graphic 45 A Ladies' Diary papers, I created simple, but elegant, cards.
With flowers, ribbon and pearls, I dressed up the cards in keeping with the "aged" look of the cards.
Hope you like them! :)

On this card, I layered the Graphic 45 cutout on mint green pearlized cardstock. I added 3 flowers and added mint green pearls to finish it off.

For this card,  I layered the Graphic 45 cut out on rose cardstock and used pop-dots to give it dimension. I layered  different shades of teal paper flowers with a green pearl and used 2 strips of pearls for embellishment.
For this card, I used pop-dots to layer the cut out over a clear purple shimmer ribbon. To keep it simple, I embellished with fabric flowers and purple and cream pearls as their centre's.
For this card, I inked the edges of the base card to "age" it. Using pop-dots I layered the cut out on the card base. Used pink pearls on the bottom corner and a fabric flower on the opposite corner.
For this last card, I layered the cut out with gold glitter paper and adhered to the ivory base card using pop-dots. To keep it simple, I just finished off with gold bling

I'd love to hear back from you or see what you've made using Graphic 45 papers.
