The weekend is almost here and to kick off our new challenges over at Scrap N' Stamp Challenges, we are having a BLOG HOP!! Wooohooo!

You should be arriving from Nancy's blog with her adorable witchy make- I mean seriously, how sweet is her card???

The theme for this challenge is a color challenge: to use ORANGE, PURPLE and GREEN in your make.

AND.... there's a $50 Gift Certificate up for grabs for one lucky winner!! I know, how cool is that???? AND you have until November 1st to play along.

Wait, there's more!! For this hop there are three $25 Gift Certificates up for grabs, so be sure to comment on each stop of the hop to be eligible...woot woot!

Here's my Halloween inspired card using Tim Holtz SILLY MONSTERS along with the challenge colors: Green, Orange and Purple. Now, I'm not a huge Halloween crafter, but these lil' guys are UBER CUTE!! lol I had so much fun with these lil' monsters that I created a matching envelope too.

For the monsters I blended Carved Pumpkin and Wilted Violet Distress Oxides onto Bristol Smooth Paper. I the splattered some water and once dry, some white and black splatters. I then die cut the sheets with the Silly Monsters Dies

I embossed some American Crafts Foil paper in Silver with a Tim Holtz Alterations die, which is similar to the 3D Foundry Embossing Folder. I added some Meadow and Black Alcohol Inks to grunge it up, because come on, they are MONSTERS...lol  I cut a slit for my one monster to peek thru and a sentiment from TH Halloween Script cut from bristol paper with Peeled Paint Distress Oxide finished off the front of my card.

For the inside of my card, I blended Peeled Paint and Black Soot Distress Oxides and used another sentiment from the Halloween Script set along with another monster. This guy, Norm, cause he looks like a Norm, is my favorite with that look on his face..hehehehe

And here's the envelope I made:

Here's the blog hop line-up in case you are joining in here:

So be sure to comment on all the hop stops to be eligible for one of the three $25 Gift Certificates that are up for grabs! And Don't forget to check out the new Challenge Group too! You have until November 1st to enter the Challenge on FB and one random winner will be chosen to win a $50 Gift Certificate to the Scrap N' Stamp Store! So Suzy Stamps~ Black Cat Prowl

Happy Saturday my Crafty friends!
Today I'm here to share with you a great way to use up your scraps along with the newly released stamps Halloween Cat & "Black Cats Prowl" from
http://www.sosuzystamps.com/

What I did was get some scrap papers in black and white and tear them up...that's right. Tear it all up into strips and pieces. I inked up the edges with Distress Ink- Black Soot. I just love this color as I find it softer for edging. Now here's the fun part...start gluing your strips randomly with Modge Podge. Add Modge Podge to the base, add your strip and go over with the Modge Podge again. Such a fun and great way to use up your scraps and you get different designs every time! :o) Layer this onto black card stock and layer that to a white base card. Voila!

I then did a die cut using Spellbinders Labels 14 with white card stock. I inked up the "Black Cats Prowl" sentiment with Memento London Fog
ink and stamped the  Halloween Cat stamp with Black Archival Ink.  I just love that Cat Stamp!! I finished by inking the edges again with Distress Ink- Black Soot. Added some twine and a Mini Ghosts chipboard embellie.

Here's how I finished the inside with the
Halloween Cat stamp:

So Suzy Stamps~ Haunted House

Happy Saturday my Crafty friends!
Today I'm here to share with you a cute and spooky lil' card I made using the newly released stamps Haunted House, Bat & "Safest Day" from
http://www.sosuzystamps.com/
Here's my lil' card:

I started by embossing the Haunted House with black detail embossing powder onto Watercolor card. Then I masked off the "moon" and inked with distress inks- "Chipped Sapphire" & "Dusty Concord". I took off my mask and inked with "Squeezed Lemonade". I stamped only the "Halloween" portion of the "Safest Day" Sentiment, also with black archival ink.

I then inked up Bat and stamped him using Black Archival Ink. This month we are also showcasing Halloween Chipboard embellishments from Unique Laser Designs. Thank you Shilo!:o)

These little sets will be available in Suzy's store here .

I used two little Mini Ghosts and the tombstone from Halloween Mini Shapes set. I used Gesso on them and then inked them lightly with Black Soot Distress ink. I also used a Faber Castell Fine Black Pitt Pen
to make "RIP" and some writing.
I also used Spectrum Noir Markers, Black Pitt Pen and White Signo Gelly Pen for my walkway up to the Haunted House

I then stamped the other portion of the "Safest Day" Sentiment inside along with Bat:

http://www.sosuzystampsblog.com/2015/10/october-2015-challenge-halloween.html

This month's Challenge is

I found this lil' Coffin wood box at Michael's for like $1.29!!! So got a bunch of them and went to town on it! lol.
I Primed it with Black Gesso then glued strips of old book paper. I used Tangled Web Stencil with some modeling paste, and added some cheese cloth. I then sponged on some silver paint in spots and finished with the HAPPY HAUNTING sentiment which I embossed in Purple Eggplant EP for a POP of color. I also stamped the BAT  stamp with archival ink. I finished with a spider- with a pop of purple too-which I also got at Michael's.

This month we are also showcasing Halloween Chipboard embellishments from Unique Laser Designs. Thank you Shilo!:o)

Faery Ink~ Frankie's Bride

Good Morning Crafty Friends, I'm here to share a card I made for
http://faeryink.com/

I got to work with "Frankie's Bride" for my Inspiration post today because we are ALL ABOUT GEARING UP FOR HALLOWEEN!! That's right...Halloween! Woohoo!

Here we go with my card...
Ok, so I can't do SPOOKY...but I can do CUTE...hehehehe and I just love the forlorn look on her face, like she's waiting for that special someone...Frankie of course! lol!
I used my corner dies from Cuttlebug and Regal Labels from Sizzix. I distressed and inked the edges for more of a tattered look, like she's been waiting a long time...poor gal...but for some girls it does take a while to meet the one..am I right ladies? ;o) DP is from Creative Memories and sentiment is from Tim Holtz.

I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Markers and kept it neutral but for a pop of color on her skin...thought it made it more ethereal. Oh and who needs red roses...Not Frankie's Bride..she prefers Black/Purple roses...to each to their own I say. ;o)
I added a Spider diecut which I enameled in Black EP and heated and stamped with Brilliance Ink in Brilliance Platinum Planet. Got the idea from RACH0013 on Youtube. Check out her vids...she's amazing!!!

Here's the inside where I double stamped the sentiment to get a "Ghost/Shadow" Effect:

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope I've helped you get in the mood for Halloween!

Happy Craftin'!
