STAMPlorations~ Sunday Stencil #84

Happy Sunday everyone! I'm sharing a journal page I made for STAMPlorations Sunday Stencil #84. The designers have created some fabulous mixed media projects to inspire you. You can find them  here so be sure to check them out and leave them some luv! :o)

I played with  ARTplorations Just Squares and STAMPlorations Groovy Lace Up Shoes. Here's my art journal page
I started by applying Brushos in Lemon,Gaboge and Vermillion with Soft Matte Gel  Medium. Once Dry, I stamped some flowers from the Groovy Shoes Set and Circles from the Artsy Border Maker Set in Blazing Red, Ultramarine and Sunflower yellow StazOn Inks.   I then applied black acrylic paint thru the Just Squares Stencil for my "Road". I created my border with the Artsy Border Maker Set with Jet Black Archival Ink and colored the centers with White Molotow Pen

I then stamped and embossed one of the Groovy Lace Up Shoes twice  so that they would be facing the same way ;o) onto water colored paper. Once it was heat set, I used SN Sparkle Pens to watercolor them in Aquamarine and Rose Quartz. These pens are great for watercoloring as they blend well with a water pen and add some pretty sparkle. :o) For the soles, I used SN Markers (Black, GG5 & IG7) and then used the Clear SN Sparkle Pens so they sparkled too. I fussy cut them out and set aside. Now I needed me some legs to do the walking...I couldn't find anything so I drew the legs and the skirt onto scrap cardstock and fussy cut them out. I adhered it all with the soft Matte gel medium and added some Gelatos for coloring and shading. I finished with by stamping my sentiment and adding some white highlights with my Molotow pen
There you have it...I know you probably have the Nancy Sinatra tune in your head...I know I did. ;o)

I hope you were inspired to play along in our Monthly Challenge, there is still plenty of time join in. Have a great weekend. :o)

TPD~A Little Sparkle, a lot of Shine

Happy Friday Crafty Friends, I'm back to share with you an lil' make I made for
http://www.twopaperdivas.com/shop/

Today I have a tag for you using the newly released "You've Got Style"and a sentiment from "Yes to Sprinkles"

I started by applying some Distress Inks in Abandoned Coral and Squeezed Lemonade onto some Mixed Media CS that I cut into a Tag shape. I spritzed it with water droplets and heat set to ensure it was dry. I then went over random parts of it with Seedless Preserves Distress Ink and a Heidi Swapp "Squared Lattice" Stencil. I then edged with "Black Soot" Distress Ink.
I sealed it all with Distress Micro Glaze

I then Stamped the "A Little Sparkle, a lot of Shine" Sentiment from the  "Yes to Sprinkles" Set and one of the FABULOUS Heels from the "You've Got Style" set with Jet Black Archival Ink. Finshed with some Icicle Stickles. Because you can never have too much Sparkle in your life! ;o)
Finished with some Crinkle Ribbon and Brad from my stash.

If you love Shoes and a bit of bling, you NEED these sets! The possibilities are endless with these two sets! Check out the blog here and here, to see what the other fab DT Gals have done with these new sets! :o)

I used  teal Shimmer cardstock from DCWV- Shimmer Stack and White Cardstock to print the templates on for the Hi-top. The instructions were great. I used glitter tape in Peach to create the line on the sole and toe. Liquid Pearls in Ruby was used to create the eyelets.
For the shoelace, I used white satin ribbon and the glitter tape on the ends.

Shoe Birthday Card and Gift Box

My Mother's Birthday falls 2 weeks after Mother's Day...so every year I try to distinguish the two apart and do something different for both occasions.  You can view the Mother's Day card in a previous post.

I bought my mother a pair of earrings but the box is pretty evident in distinguishing what it is and if you knew my mother....she loves surprises!!! So this year, I made a little “Lunch Box” Gift box and Card.

The Following Supplies were used for the Gift Box:

Cricut Cartridges- Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2
Cricut Projects- Flower Shoppe
“Mom”- All in the Family Large Sentiments from Just Rite
Versamark Ink
Eggplant Pearl Embossing Powder from Recollections
Heat Gun
Small Circle Punch from Marvy Uchida
Sookwang Tape
Craft Glue
Various cardstock shades from  from American Crafts Pastels Collection

She loved carrying the box and now has it proudly displayed on her mantle, so it was worth the paper cuts assembling it! :o)

Not only does my mother enjoy surprises, she also has a flair for SHOES!!! Like mother, like daughter.

For this card, I used the following supplies:

Fashion Shoe Digital Stamp from Justinklined.
Border Bling from Gina K. Stamps
Dew Drop Purple Hydrangea Chalk Ink
Spectrum Noir Markers
Liquid Pearls in Lavender Lace
Ultra Smooth Premium White Cardstock from Crafter's Companion (For when using alcohol markers)
Different shades of Purple cardstock from American Crafts Pastels Collection
Purple Shimmer cardstock from DCWV Shimmer Stack Collection
Paper Piercer and template from Stampin' Up!
SpellBinders Nestabilities- Scalloped Ovals,  Labels Twenty-Five & Labels Fourteen Dies
Prima Heartshaped Pearl Flower
Feather and Pearls for embellishments.
Pop Dots

This too was a hit, but then again, what woman doesn't like a fabulous shoe???

Happy Craftin'!
