TAGplorations~ Hug in a Mug!

Hello crafty friends, I'm back with a lil' tag for the

This month it's all about WINTER and the optional twist is: Texture Paste

I used the new Toasty  Mug stamp set along with CUTplorations Tags #1 and Hug in a Mug dies.

I cut out the tag using the Tags #1 large die from a piece of cardboard and peeled some of the paper back to show the corrugated paper underneath, then added some music paper and tore pieces from that so the exposed cardboard could peak through. I added some Dylusions Vanilla Custard paint with my finger to mute and soften the background...LOVE that color, it's great in lieu of white gesso for a softer, that a word?;o)..feel. I then distressed the edges with Peeled Paint and Vintage Photo Distress Crayons.

I watercolored the image from the Toasty Mug stamp  set with Distress Inks and fussy cut it out. I adhered it to my tag with foam tape for added dimension.I added some glossy accents to the coffee in the mug and doesn't it look JAVAlicious? ;o)

I then added the Hug in a Mug phrase die cut from Kraft paper and a little button and twine finished off my lil' tag.

I sure hope I've inspired you to get crafty today! Oh and don't forget if you use code "STAMPGIRLAMY" you can get 20% off your purchase! :o)

Here's my make using the Tim Holtz Mini Crazy Dogs set. It was my first time doing no line watercoloring and I had so much fun with it. I used Distress Inks to watercolor my doggy (Tea Dye, Brushed Corduroy, Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain, Fired Brick and Broken China).

I then used Tea Dye and Vintage Photo to ink around the edges to frame my doggy with a small blending tool.

Twine and a little charm finished it off.

I sure hope I've inspired you to get crafty today and look forward to seeing your creations.

STAMPlorations~ Instinct

Yay! It's time for another STAMPlorations Mixed Media Monthly Challenge again!
Just remember to use a stencil in your make (and it cannot be a card) to be eligible to win.

I  started with the Tags #1 largest die cut from Watercolor paper and smooshed Distress Paints (Squeezed Lemonade, Mermaid Lagoon and Abandoned Coral) mixed with water onto my tag. I then used Ranger Texture Paste thru the JUST SQUARES stencil and once dry, I splattered some paints onto the tag. I then used my Fine FC Artist Pitt Pen and doodled around the edge of the tag. I stamped the sentiment form the ART IS set onto tissue paper and applied it to my tag with Gel Medium.  A little wood veneer gear and bling from my stash finished off my tag. :o)

There's my bright and fun tag for this month's challenge and I sure hope I've inspired you to get crafty today!

Oh and don't forget if you use code "STAMPGIRLAMY" you can get 20% off your purchase! :o)
