Faery Ink~ Demera Star Angel

Good Morning Crafty Friends, I'm here to share a mixed media Poster I made for
http://faeryink.com/

This month I got to work with "Demera Star Angel"
for my my inspiration.

I just fell in love with this image when I saw it! I just love the detail on the wings and her star halo!

Isn't she just gorgeous???

I've been on a Mixed Media kick lately, and had so much fun creating this! I created the background using parchment paper...yep..parchment paper. Love the texture it gave. Simply crunch up your parchment paper and then glue down onto your canvas, cardstock or paper. I used 140lb mixed media paper with Matte Medium for my adhesive. Allow to dry and then have at 'er. lol.

I used Gelato's in blue and gold, then went over it all with Stampin' up Teal Ink pad. I then added some Paper Smooches Star  die cuts and created my own sentiment on Pic Monkey.

I colored this angelic beauty with Spectrum Noir Markers and Prisma Color Pencils. Here's a closer look:

Happy Craftin'!

The stamp is Rememberance Angel from Rick St. Dennis. Just love the details of this image! I used my SN Markers and Metallic Gellyroll's to color her. Shaded the image with Brilliance Bronze.  I used Liquid Pearls in Bisque for some dimension. I finished it off with flowers and punched stars in chocolate and caramel browns.

I had the pleasure of working with Angel Waiting from A Day For Daisies. Such a cute image!!

Here's what I came up with:

I made a gate fold card this week. I went with softer colors for this card as the image was so sweet!

I colored the image with SN markers and stamped some clouds in the sky and used Liquid Pearls in white to give the clouds dimension. I liked how they turned out. :o) I also used Diamond stickles on her wings.

For the inside of the card, I used the same DP from the front and just used some glitter tape to dress it up a bit.

The sentiment is from Heartfelt Creations. Which was stamped with Blue Memento Ink and layered with Label 1 Dies from Spellbinders.

Card Recipe:

Paper: Bazzil Cardstock and DP from DCVW
Stamps: Angel Waiting from A Day for Daisies, Clouds from October Afternoon "Kite Tales" Collection and Sentiment from Heartfelt Creations.
