STAMPlorations~ Stencil Hop Day 1~ Distressed Honeycomb

Good Morning and happy Wednesday everyone! Today is the start of the

http://stamplorations.blogspot.com/2016/12/artplorations-stencil-hop.html

Woohoo! There are some amazing prizes up for grabs...check out the info here and get hoppin'! :o)
Here's a little tag I made using Honeycomb Delight Mini - ARTplorations Stencil with a sentiment from the Strong Women set.
I started with a piece of watercolor paper and blended Mermaid Lagoon and Picked Raspberry Distress Inks. I added a few water droplets for added texture and then blended the same distress inks thru the Honeycomb stencil. Love the soft contrast and variation of color and textures. I used a die from my stash (sorry I got it in a swap and don't know the company name) to create a cut out and matted it onto another tag that had Black Soot Distress Paint. I finished with the sentiment stamped in Jet black Archival Ink and some crinkle ribbon and bling button.

I hope you've enjoyed my little tag today and come back and join me for Day 3 as I'll have another fun lil' card for you using a stencil to emboss. :o)

Happy Hoppin'!

Julia Spiri- Girly Girl Tag

Happy Thursday Crafty Friends!
I'm so excited to be able to share with you my make for
http://juliaspirichallengeblog.blogspot.ca/

There will be a new challenge every second Thursday and it is an Anything Goes Challenge with a twist! Please check the rules here.

Time for our second challenge and the twist is:

GIRLS, GIRLS, GIRLS

So make it girl, use a girl image, what ever screams "GIRLS" to you. ;o)

For this challenge, I used Girl with Pigtails. Now how cute is this image? Just makes me smile!

I made a mixed-media tag for this challenge.
I started by priming my tag with Gesso and then using texture paste and Hampton Art Stencil. Painted a thin coat of Acrylic pain in red that I watered down for a glazed look. Added some more color with Lindy's Stamp Gang Sprays and sentiment from Tim Holtz.

Here's a closer look at the image I colored with SN Markers and added some Liquid Pearls in Red.

Here's the embellies I used with a light coat of Gesso for a more "aged" look.

Mom=Friend

Good afternoon everyone!

I wanted to share this card I made for my mom using

http://www.tiddlyinks.com/

Now my mom is one of my best friends, I love her dearly and when I saw this image, I had to get it. I colored it up as us two as well! (My mother being the feisty red-head and me the spicy Brunette!) LOL!

I'm happy to say she loved it as we always go for coffee together to catch up on our girl chats!

CS is American Crafts and DP's are from Recollections. I used Dies from Spellbinders (image) and My Favorite Things (Sentiment). Finished it off with Flowers, bling Strip, Ribbon and my home-made enamel dots. :o)

I colored the image with SN Markers:

Sweet!!!

Happy Sunday everyone!

I'm here to show you a card I made to play along with the

The challenge was to "Make it Girly" using "Lollipop Leslie".

Here's my card:
I went with one of my favorite color combo's- grey and pink. Just love the softness of them together.
DP & CS is from Recollections. Flowers, feather and pearls are from my stash. The doily die is from Sizzix.

I used a cute little chipboard ticket that says "sweet" on it. Which is why I used the blue feather to tie it in together, plus it was hard to find a grey or the right shade of pink feather. hehehehe.

I colored the sweet "Lollipop Leslie" with SN markers. Used glossy accents on the lollipop- just didn't show up well in the picture. Here's a closer look:

I'd like to enter it in the following challenges:
